Every Life Matters - The Chris Dale Camp
Posted: 24-01-2010

On June 13th 2009, 15 year old Chris Dale was in collision with a Mini Cooper on Lees Road, Oldham. He did not survive the collision. I'm his sister, Becca. In July, the Youth Council held a meeting, and decided that something needed to be done this is where the Chris Dale Campaign was established. Six months down the line and our campaign is moving quickly. Renamed 'Every Life Matters - the Chris Dale Campaign', we are focusing on improving education of young drivers through a variety of resources and possibly commissioning a drama which shows the devastating effects of death on the roads. We have already achieved one of our original aims - speed cameras will be put up on Lees Road, with the much appreciated help of Councillors and MP's. wWith the funding we have been granted, we hope that in the future we will open the eyes of drivers to the reality of driving the responsibilities that come with it and the danger of abusing that responsibility. It is our aim to prevent as many other families as possible going through the unimaginable pain of losing a loved one on the roads.
