Hiya....

Smoke & mirrors on the 10th -11th October 2009. Location was Trafford Hall in Chester

The weekend was to raise awareness of what the tobacco industry do to young people in Less Economic Developed Countries (LEDC's). And who these people are treated for example “the young children that work on the farms are open to Green tobacco sickness. This comes from the nicotine from the leaves of the plants. Also the way the children have to sleep in the fields whilst they spray dangerous pesticides that also make these children very ill.

This weekend also contained a lecture from Professor Stan Glantz about film industry containing cigarette smokers in animated/ children’s films e.g. (101 Dalmatians). This lecture contained why they should make the movies with smoking scenes to have their certificate to an 18's. This is because this will stop the encouragement of young adults smoking.

All in all, the weekend was very good... The company and the food was also top class

AND..

AND..

AND..

AND most importantly I am on Granada news this evening doing an interview about the weekend.
